GLT22 Call for Participation (CfP)

Dear GLT friends,

we are back. In April, we want to hold Grazer Linuxtage in the usual format: On Friday, we offer workshops and on Saturday, we offer talks and info booths on the TU Graz campus. This two-day event is meant to support the community developing free/open source software and open hardware platforms. Indeed, we are trying to hold this as an on-site event as usual; fulfulling all restrictions required to avoid the spread of SARS-CoV-2. If the pandemic is still too severe, we might have to switch to an online event similar to 2021. However, we have seen that interaction was limited and we therefore try to make an on-site event work again.

At Grazer Linuxtage, we are interested in all kinds of topics related to FLOSS/open hardware. Please consider submitting topics, you want to present. We have seen a lot of success with topics like the OpenDocument standard (LibreOffice), Raspberry Pi as programming and automation environment, modern command line tools like fzf, or open source community management. But many many other topics fit as well. Talks can be given at length 25 minutes or 45 minutes. Workshops are meant to be more interactive and can take about 2–3 hours. We offer this as a guideline, but feel free to make alternative offers which work better for you in the text field. In the end, we want to enable our community to interact and discuss and thus want to support you. We also tend to accept only one submission per speaker to get a larger variety of the audience, but don't hesitate to make several proposals. We will pick what we think fits best in combination with other topics.

The CfP is open for 1 month (2022-01-20 to 2022-02-20) and we plan to announce accepted submissions at the beginning of March 2022. I would like to thank all contributors since you make this event possible!

stay healthy,
GLT orga team
