Flux: Making fonts smarter

We'll learn more about how font technology works, and demonstrate the Flux layout editor


You might think of a font as a collection of shapes, but there's more to font technology than that. A font can contain instructions in a little programming language called OpenType Layout. We'll look at how font technology works and how fonts are rendered on a Linux system. We'll also then look into a new project called Flux which provides a visual editing interface to OpenType Layout.
